One of my favorite games to play (besides Zelda) is the “Name That Tune” game. There’s always fun to be had in guessing a song by only a few notes or lyrics, and then taking it to the next level by guessing the artist too. With a history of music as long and deep as the Zelda series, this is a very real thing that can be done.

Musician and YouTuber Taylor Davis has done many Zelda covers over the years and recently took time to play the “Name That Tune” game with a selection of them. In the video, she plays a few quick notes, pauses, plays a bit more of the song, pauses again, then reveals the actual song it was. All told, there’s six songs that are sampled, and they cover a broad spectrum of the games.

I am proud to say that I managed a perfect score on this challenge, but it did take me until her second sampling of one of the songs for me to get it. I found this to be a really fun way of showing off some of her covers, especially some that I’d missed over the years.

How’d you do on the Name that Zelda tune? Did you think this was a fun game to play? Let us know in the comments below!
