“Pigminted” Wood Carvings Bring Beloved Zelda Adventures To Life

Pigminted, a wooden carving shop we previously covered in 2018, has plenty to show for the past four years. The Indiana-based Etsy shop, which has been around since 2016, specializes in carving iconic gaming cartridges, cases, and consoles into wood. For example, this Minish Cap carving features Link and fellow Picori NPCs almost popping out of a Game Boy Advance. Adorable!
Pigminted has also done similar carvings for Zelda games such as Twilight Princess, The Wind Waker, and Skyward Sword, to name a few, as well as several other video game franchises such as Pokemon and Smash Bros. In particular, this Smash Bros. character select carving hosts tons of Nintendo characters, including Princess Zelda and Link. A couple of my favorites of all the carvings are this Majora’s Mask carving and this Breath of the Wild carving, as I love the little details and the intricate layers. However, favorites aside, it is easy to tell that all of these carvings are made with patience, care, and passion.
