Photoshop Contest: Zelda Wins February
Posted on March 14 2015 by Legacy Staff
The time has come once again to use expensive software for trivial purposes: a Photoshop Contest is upon us!
We’re asking readers to submit the funniest, most creative, or most awe-inspiring pictures they can produce within the guidelines we suggest. This week, we’re using Photoshop to send Zelda series producer, Eiji Aonuma, to a place he doesn’t want to revisit. But first, let’s take a look at the winners from last week’s contest: Stressed Aonuma.
Last Week’s Contest
Pictures were selected based on their creativity, quality, and how effectively they demonstrated the image-manipulation abilities of the artists.
Best Submissions
Artist: Joseph Carlough
Artist: Miguel Gerrerio
Artist: Monkee-goro
Challenge Mode
Kyle Ian Thomas‘s entry wins last week’s Challenge Mode for showing our stressed Aonuma ultimately victorious at the end of his many struggles.
In last week’s contest, all entries received 4 upvotes each, so we’re declaring everyone a winner for Fan Favorite!
This Week’s Contest: Zelda Wins February
While not exactly the holiday season, February was still host to a fair share of major game releases, including several with quite a bit of hype behind them.
February saw the release of asymmetrical multiplayer shooter/space hunting simulator Evolve, the parkour take on the zombie genre with Dying Light, and PlayStation 4 exclusive The Order 1886 to name a few.
But all these major releases and more were soundly crushed in sales under the weight of the Majora’s Mask remake on the 3DS with half a million copies sold in February.
Gloating may be shallow, but it can still be fun. So, for this week’s contest, let’s celebrate Zelda’s dominance over these other game titles and more in our Photoshop Contest.
Feel free to use any of the images posted in the gallery of this article, or anything else you need to make this concept a reality.
Deadline: Submit entries no later than next Wednesday at midnight: 11:59 p.m. PST on March 18. Entries submitted after this Deadline will not be considered.
Challenge Mode
For those of you wishing to tackle a much more difficult Photoshop challenge, make sure your submission includes the phrase Challenge Accepted in the comment you submit your photo in, and be sure to follow the Challenge Rule below. Remember, Challenge Mode submissions follow the same rules and guidelines of the base Photoshop Contest in addition to the Challenge Rule.
Challenge Rule: Make sure your submission includes Princess Zelda in some way.
Good luck!
