Hello, our excitable Zelda fanatics! We’re nearly done with one of the most exciting E3 weeks in recent history, but surely we still need a Photoshop Contest to finish the week off correctly. Breath of the Wild offers a unique open-world experience unlike any Zelda game we’ve seen before, with a massive map to explore and countless secrets to find. At this point, every possibility should be considered. So this week, let’s populate Breath of the Wild‘s expansive new world with our Photoshop predictions, as well as follow-up on last week’s contest: E3 2016 Surprises and Predictions.

Last Week’s Contest:

Let’s see how accurate our winners’ predictions were.

Challenge Mode

Entries accepting our challenge last week were called to represent a few highly-anticipated franchises, such as Metroid and Final Fantasy. And while neither a Metroid nor Cloud from FF7 was present during E3’s big conferences, we received a few great entries combining these wayward game series. Marking his first anniversary with the Photoshop Contest, Antonio Quiacain came out as last week’s Challenge Mode winner. Coming to a console near you, Cloud sets out on a new adventure in deep space, meeting ruthless bounty hunters and fighting parasitic monsters along the way. Even Link can’t wait to get his hands on it. Congratulations to our winner, and thanks for an awesome year of ‘shopping.

This Week’s Contest: What Will Link Find in Breath of the Wild

Breath of the Wild may have been the Zelda series’ biggest E3 appearance in history. With so many new mechanics and a ton of risks taking the series out its comfort zone, it’s no surprise that fans trampled each other to wait in a four-hour line to see the game at E3 or that we force-fed our readers hundreds of news stories about its smallest details. As we saw in the demo, the world of Breath of the Wild holds many secrets for Link to find, like mini-dungeon shrines, treacherous sand pits, or giant rock monsters. With the starting area so packed with things to find, we can only imagine what we may find in the 99% of game world we didn’t get to see.

The contest this week is to share what you think Link will find in Breath of the Wild’s game world. Our hero may find some interesting landmarks, a ferocious enemy, a new item, or mysterious dungeon. Or he may find something completely unexpected, like a snazzy motorcycle, Norman Reedus, or 10-foot-tall statue of Tingle. Whatever Link may find in the wilds, go ahead and may use of our images in the gallery below or anything else on the net.

General Rules: Submit your entries in the comments section below.

  • To save images from the gallery, right click the image in the gallery (without opening the image in lightbox) and select open image in new tab. Go up to the address bar and delete __small from the URL. Hit enter, right click, and save!
  • Photoshop is not required to enter the contest. Any image manipulation software can be used to create your entry.
  • Some hand-drawn fan art is okay, but your entry must include some image manipulation to be considered.
  • If you use another fan’s original assets or likeness, please try to give them credit.
  • Please refrain from using offensive material (racial, sexual, overuse of offensive language, etc.) We want to make the contest fun and accessible for fans of all ages.
  • Everyone is entitled to their own opinion at Zelda Informer. In fact, we encourage discussion based on those opinions. However, please do not insult other fans’ work. What may be funny to one person may not hold true for another…and that’s OK.
  • Have fun and be creative!

Deadline: Submit entries no later than Thursday at midnight: 11:59 p.m. PST on June 23. Entries submitted after this Deadline will not be considered.

Challenge Mode

For those that who want to test their skills with something more challenging, we have a few Challenge Rules for you to follow:

1. Your entry must show Link in a new outfit.

2. You entry must show a food item Link could eat.

If you think you’re up to the challenge, include the phrase Challenge Accepted with your submission. Remember, Challenge Mode submissions follow the same rules and guidelines of the base Photoshop Contest in addition to the Challenge Rules.

Good luck!
