Howdy, Zelda fans. I hope you’re ready for yet another ZI Photoshop Contest. The wait for Breath of the Wild is nearly over, and this fact is none more evident given Nintendo’s willingness to drop screenshot after screenshot of the new game. One of the most recent images that caught my eye featured a new dragon enemy that Link may encounter flying over Hyrule. This screenshot called to mind the many dragons that we’ve seen in the Zelda series over the years, so I figured this week’s contest could focus on these scaly, flying beasts.

Last Week’s Contest: Zelda Vs. For Honor

We were hoping to see some ZeldaFor Honor mash-ups last week, but sadly, we received no entries. I suppose that’s fine; I like to think that you all were too busy actually playing For Honor which is a pretty great game.

This Week’s Contest: Rise of the Zelda Dragons

Dragons have always had a place in the Zelda series, from Aquamentus in Zelda 1, to Volvagia in Ocarina of Time, to Argorok in Twilight Princess. And it would seem that Breath of the Wild has no intention of breaking that tradition, as a brightly colored dragon will take flight in the new game. With so many great dragons, we couldn’t neglect them any longer.

The contest this week is to ‘shop an image featuring one or more dragons from the Zelda series. You can focus on a single one, or show multiple dragons take to the skies together. Whatever you decide, we have some images in the gallery for you, but feel free to use anything you find on the internet as well.

General Rules: Submit your entries in the comments section below.

  • To save images from the gallery, right click the image in the gallery (without opening the image in lightbox) and select open image in new tab. Right click and save!
  • Photoshop is not required to enter the contest. Any image manipulation software can be used to create your entry.
  • Some hand-drawn fan art is okay, but your entry must include some image manipulation to be considered.
  • If you use another fan’s original assets or likeness, please try to give them credit.
  • Please refrain from using offensive material (racial, sexual, overuse of offensive language, etc.) We want to make the contest fun and accessible for fans of all ages.
  • Everyone is entitled to their own opinion at Zelda Informer. In fact, we encourage discussion based on those opinions. However, please do not insult other fans’ work. What may be funny to one person may not hold true for another…and that’s OK.
  • Have fun and be creative!

Deadline: Submit entries no later than Thursday at midnight: 11:59 p.m. PST on March 2. Entries submitted after this Deadline will not be considered.

Don’t forget to check back throughout the week and upvote your favorites, and maybe you will be one of next week’s winners!
