Our very own Zelda Dungeon podcast,  The Champions’ Cast, recently had the pleasure to interview the voice of Zelda herself, Patricia Summersett. Hosts Andy and Alasyn talked with Summersett about a lot, including the differences between working on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, and how Patricia handles criticisms about her voice acting as Princess Zelda. What’s more, we also got to find out her favorite Zelda games!

When it comes down to it, Summersett’s favorite Zelda is no straightforward answer, nor is it as obvious as it may seem. Truthfully, there is no one singular favorite Zelda for Summersett. In fact, many titles take the cake in her heart:

“I don’t have favorites, I really don’t — it depends on the context.

A toss up between the original, because that’s the first one that I played and have a nostalgic kid reaction to. Ocarina [of Time], because that’s the other one that I played in high school, and, I dunno, the humor and everything about it is so delightful.

And then, how am I not supposed to say Breath of the Wild; I’ve lived in it for four years.”

It sounds like Patricia has a Triforce of favorite Zelda games, perhaps fitting for the princess of Hyrule. While I expected to see the game she starred in on the list, I was pleasantly surprised to hear she also favored not only Ocarina of Time, but The Legend of Zelda, the game that started it all, as well.
