Over 26 years The Legend of Zelda has inspired countless numbers of fan dedications including artwork, music, costumes, and numerous other endeavors. Of course, it’s always interesting to see when somebody goes beyond the usual artistic expressions and creates something incredible and unexpected… like an entire room.

That was the project of one Nintendo-loving couple. Make the jump to see their hard work!

Dedicated “FanMOM” Jessica, the blogger behind Dork on a Dime, is at it again. After she and her husband moved into their new home last year, they have been hard at work sprucing the place up for their purposes. Their first project was a Mario-themed nursery including mushrooms on the dresser and clouds with eyes.

However, recently they discovered they have a new potential occupant for the nursery on the way and decided to fix up a new room for their 18-month-old daughter. But then again, how does one top a Super Mario nursery? Why, with a Zelda bedroom of course!

Complete with Death Mountain, Hyrule Castle, and even the Great Deku tree, this bedroom has enough Zelda locations and characters to keep any fledgling fan happy. Next to the Kakariko windmill is Link standing in front of Death Mountain, with a treasure chest and a rack of (foam) swords to boot. One can even make out a Triforce on the clock. You can find the Master Sword under the top bunk, or journey under the staircase to discover a Fairy’s Fountain and a Heart Container. There is no end to how much detail was put into this fantastic bedroom!

This is just a brief tour, though; be sure to check out Jessica’s blog to see tons more images and her full description on how each crucial detail was made as well as their future plans for the room.

So what do you guys think? Would you have liked to have a bedroom like this? Think you might do something similar for your kids? Do you think it’s a bit excessive? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
