Throughout his career, musician and composer Rozen has produced exciting arrangements for a variety of different Zelda songs. As part of his extensive catalogue, Rozen has released several well-received albums of Zelda music including Sins of Hyrule , Ballads of Hyrule, and Children of Termina. These albums are full of rich orchestrations and bold musical choices that help these new interpretations stand out from the crowded Zelda music scene.

In an announcement on various platforms, Rozen revealed that his next project will be a sequel to the popular Zelda album Ballads of Hyrule. The new album, aptly titled Ballads of Hyrule II, will focus on a group of songs from three incredible games: Skyward Sword, The Wind Waker, and Breath of the Wild. In his post, Rozen asserts that this new album will be a return to “the world of textures and calming orchestration that defined [Ballads of Hyrule]”.

Looking over the track list, Zelda fans have many reasons to be excited for the newly announced project. The album is stacked with beloved tunes including:

  •  “Fairy’s Fountain”
  • “Skyloft”
  • “Breath of the Wild”
  • “Hateno Village”
  • “Romance in the Air”
  • “Inside a House”
  • “Windfall Island”
  • “Tarrey Town”
  • “Outset Island”
  • “Ballad of the Goddess” (featuring REVEN)
  • “Fi’s Theme”

The digital album will be released on November 19, 2021, and it is priced at $12 USD. If you are interested in the limited edition CD, those are available to preorder for $25 USD.  CDs are currently scheduled to release some time in the spring. With the preorder of the CDs, buyers also get access to the digital album at its initial release date of November 19th. Rozen also alerted potential customers that physical orders (CDs) are being “fulfilled independently by the artist” and the composer asked everyone to be patient with the fulfillment of preorders.

If you are interested in Ballads of Hyrule II, you should check out the single “Skyloft”, which gives the listener a taste of what the album will sound like. The song is a lush and soulful rendition of one of the Zelda series’ most peaceful tunes. It is a great primer for the upcoming album. You can keep up with Rozen on Twitter, at his Bandcamp page, and his YouTube channel.
