ku-xlargeNot too long ago we featured a few videos of The Legend of Zelda being played in first-person on the Oculus Rift virtual reality visor. Now, Ocarina of Time has received the same treatment. A YouTuber named Chadtronic has made a proof-of-concept video for travelling around Kokiri Forest in first-person.

Watch the video after the jump!

If anyone does not already know, Ocarina of Time was initially going to be a first-person game, but that idea was dropped in the early stages of development. It is interesting that we can now see what that concept might have lead to had it actually gone through. The designer of this demo, DarkAkuma, has recently announced that this project, which he is calling “Project Ocarina”, will continue in development. Personally, I am very much looking forward to one day seeing the entire game in proper virtual reality.

If anyone has an Oculus Rift and would like to try out the demo, check out the download page. Also, you can keep tabs on Project Ocarina’s progress here.

What do you guys think? Is Project Ocarina worth continuing? Leave a comment!
