Not too long ago we featured a few videos of The Legend of Zelda being played in first-person on the Oculus Rift virtual reality visor. Now, Ocarina of Time has received the same treatment. A YouTuber named Chadtronic has made a proof-of-concept video for travelling around Kokiri Forest in first-person.

If anyone does not already know, Ocarina of Time was initially going to be a first-person game, but that idea was dropped in the early stages of development. It is interesting that we can now see what that concept might have lead to had it actually gone through. The designer of this demo, DarkAkuma, has recently announced that this project, which he is calling “Project Ocarina”, will continue in development. Personally, I am very much looking forward to one day seeing the entire game in proper virtual reality.
What do you guys think? Is Project Ocarina worth continuing? Leave a comment!
