I don’t know how to play dominoes. I’ve also never met a single person in my life that knows how to play dominoes. I’m not even sure there’s technically a way to play dominoes as a conventional “game” and you’ll never convince me otherwise. Everyone knows that when you’re saying you’re playing dominoes, what you really mean is you’re sitting them up on their ends in rows to be knocked over, watching as they snake their way around the pattern you’ve laid out for them. It’s an incredibly satisfying sight… until you realize you have to pick them all up and think back on all the time you spent arranging them.

But what if you were able to turn domino toppling into an art form? What if your hours of hard work meticulously positioning each and every domino perfectly could result in something genuinely amazing — artistic even? TheDominoKing rose to that challenge and has given Zelda fans something truly special to marvel at. Here, several pieces of artwork and imagery from Ocarina of Time have been recreated with upright dominoes and subsequently toppled, revealing richer, fuller images. I shudder to think of the amount of time that they must have invested in making these, but I would imagine that it’s all worth it in the end if Zelda fans are enthralled. I know for sure that I was.
