During the recent Nintendo of Canada press event, several official artwork images from Ocarina of Time 3D were positioned around the room to give the place a vibrant Zelda environment. David Oxford, a member over at Examiner was at the event and saw several of these canvas images. Well, to his surprise just days after the press event, a mysterious package arrived in the mail and it was just that, one of the canvas artwork pieces! You can see David’s wife holding the canvas artwork in the image to the left and can also click the image to get a better look.
Now, this just brings me to the press event that I was at last week in San Francisco. Unfortunately, there was no posters of any sort and really, it was a rather generic conference room. The only Zelda goodies were the official Nintendo Player’s Guide for Ocarina of Time and a number of Ocarina of Time 3D copies inside of Nintendo 3DS systems. There was actually even a Nintendo 64 hooked up to a decent sized flat-screen TV with the purpose of showing comparison shots from the Nintendo 64 version. Unfortunately… I don’t think I’m going to expect any goodies in the mail from the press event.
In general it seems the Nintendo of Europe an Nintendo of Canada press events were significantly more organized than their American counterparts. In fact, you can see some pictures from the Canadian event by clicking here. As you can see in the images, that same Canvas Artwork pieces are on display in the conference room. Definitely a nice collectible piece that would be cool to have in my own collection. Perhaps I’ll get something like this someday.
Ocarina of Time 3D is set for release on June 19th here in the US. We’ll continue to cover each bit of news as it pops up, so be sure to stay tuned. Until then, let us know your thoughts by posting in the comments below! Do you have any Nintendo artwork or posters on your walls? Would you ever purchase something like this for decoration?
