It seems the news out of Australia keeps popping up and this time around they’ve revealed the box artwork for Ocarina of Time 3D. The box art comes from Aussie-Nintendo and they’ve also created in image comparing the different versions of box artwork. The Australian artwork looks almost identical to the American version except it is not quite as bright and has more of a brown shade to it. You can click the image to the left to see a larger version and then make the jump to see how it compares to the rest of the styles of box art.

Personally, I think the Japanese and European artwork is significantly better. This has been the case for pretty much the entire history of the Zelda series. For whatever reason, it seems Nintendo always just gives the American versions more simplistic or generic looking boxes. The Japanese artwork looks so fresh and bright, making it look like quite an adventure. The American piece just seems to the missing that. This was the case with recent Zelda titles as well including Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks. However, it has been the case dating all the way back to the original Legend of Zelda for the Famicom Disk System and Nintendo Entertainment System.

Ocarina of Time 3D just got an official release date of June 30th in Australia. It will be releasing on the 19th here in the United States. Be sure to voice your thoughts about the various versions of box artwork by posting in the comments below.
