With Tears of the Kingdom only a few months away, Nintendo knows many fans are just itching to revisit the world introduced in Breath of the Wild. That’s why, in addition to hyping up the upcoming Zelda adventure as expected, the company has also kicked off a huge marketing push for its predecessor, either to invite old players to refresh their memory on the story so far or to entice new players to enter the game’s vast world for the first time.

Breath of the Wild is already on sale in various regions around the world, but Nintendo is still finding new ways to introduce players to the game’s massive world. Nintendo’s Japanese website recently launched a new Breath of the Wild article series titled “Zelda: Breath of the Wild: Hyrule Unknown,” with each new volume spotlighting a different region within the game’s massive version of Hyrule. The series essentially takes the form of a travelogue, highlighting the sights, sounds, and features of a given region.

The first volume of “Breath of the Wild: Hyrule Unknown” shines a spotlight on the Hebra Region, the rugged, snow-capped mountain range in Hyrule’s northwest. The article touches on the region’s many eccentricities, including its harsh weather conditions, its shops and minigames, and its resident collection of wild beasts. I especially love the little details that make the article look like a real brochure, such as a weather warning or a sponsored section for Rito Village’s Swallow’s Roost.

While the article is no doubt best enjoyed in its intended language, the screenshots, artwork, and video clips make for an enjoyable trip down memory lane. I remember braving the frost of Hebra late in my Breath of the Wild adventure, so seeing its many landmarks again put me right back into the boots of a hardened hero.

Volume 2 of “Breath of the Wild: Hyrule Unknown” is coming soon to Nintendo’s Japanese site. We don’t know right now if the series will debut in other regions around the world, but we will keep you updated as more information becomes available.

You can check out all volumes of “Breath of the Wild: Hyrule Unknown” as they become available right here.

Did you give the first volume of “Breath of the Wild: Hyrule Unknown” a look? What is your favorite Hebra memory? Let us know in the comments!
