Earlier this year, in January, Nintendo asked fans of the Zelda franchise to submit pictures of themselves to help create a mosaic. Though fans very quickly gave Nintendo the requested 25,000 pictures, it took the artists at Nintendo quite a long time to actually complete the mosaic, and understandably so. Imagine how long it would take to organize, print, and arrange 25,000 pictures into one large image. Take a look at the completed mosaic after the jump!

If you recall, Nintendo conducted a giveaway via Facebook that would distribute a replica Master Sword and Hylian Shield to one very lucky fan out of the 25,000 that submitted their picture. After the 25,000 picture goal was met, Nintendo closed the giveaway to begin production of the mosaic. As you can see, it is the official artwork Link from Skyward Sword. It is absolutely amazing to see the thousands of individual portraits come together to form a single piece of art.

What did you think of the mosaic? Did you make it into the mosaic by submitting your entry? Tell us in the comments below!
