e3Recently, Nintendo sent out a press release email, reiterating their plans for this year’s E3. For those unfamiliar: E3 is the big electronics expo held in early June in Los Angeles each year where basically all of the video games hardware and software manufacturers come together to show off to the media just what it is they’ve been working on and plan to release in the future.

What Nintendo had to say in the PR email was pretty much expected, but it does reconfirm a thing or two about the Wind Waker remake for the Wii U. Jump inside to read the quote!

Regarding their plans for this year’s E3, Nintendo said:

“At the upcoming E3 trade show in June in Los Angeles, Nintendo expects to show attendees upcoming Wii U games from the Mario Kart™, Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda and Super Smash Bros.™ franchises.”

This is wonderful news! It may not be a lot of information, but just think: we will finally get more information on the Wind Waker remake for the Wii U! Mockup screenshots are great, but I’m looking forward to a gameplay demo, or a trailer–both of which seem pretty likely to appear at this year’s E3. I mean: the game is set to release by the end of this year, if we are lucky, we may even receive a release date, who knows? Are you guys excited? Which news gets you the most excited? Tell us in the comments!
