There is good news for Nintendo fans today, as a press release from Nintendo has confirmed that they are increasing the number of shipments for the SNES Classic. The NES Classic will also be returning to shelves in 2018. The SNES Classic will ship more units on launch day than the NES Classic did last year, and there will be regular shipments to stores following it’s launch. The NES Classic is also scheduled to return to shelves in Summer 2018.

This is wonderful news, since the pre-orders for the Classic were gone almost instantly. Nintendo has been gaining a lot more traction this year, between the Switch and the Classic edition consoles, and I’m quite glad to see them ramping up production to meet the demand for their products.
