With the cancellation of this year’s physical and digital E3 events, developers will have to find other means to showcase their work to the gaming public. Some will wait for other major conventions and some will curate their own livestreams, but Nintendo has never been one to take the path most traveled. In fact, they’ll be taking their divergent path across the entirety of the the United States. This summer Nintendo will embark on the “Nintendo Switch Road Trip,” a traveling showcase of what the extremely successful system has to offer.

Nintendo announced their plans for the road trip via Twitter. Spanning June 10th through September 5th, there will be nine stops along the way with each lasting three to four days. These events will include playable demos of the latest Switch titles on the new Switch OLED model. The games currently listed on Nintendo’s website are Nintendo Switch Sports, Mario Strikers Battle League, and Kirby and the Forgotten Land. There will also be collectible merchandise and photo opportunities at these events.

Each event on the road trip is free to attend, though prospective attendees will have to register for a spot at the event in advance. Currently, only the first event in Minneapolis is open for registration. Registration for future events will become available at 10am local time the Friday before each event. Nintendo’s FAQ says that the event will last roughly 40 minutes and that attendees will be moved through in groups. While there will be free SWAG at the event, no Nintendo merchandise will be available for sale.

If you’re interested in attending any of these events, check out the official Nintento Switch Road Trip webpage. Here you’ll find information about dates, locations, what to expect at the event, and the registration links.
