Nintendo has given us another short preview of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity this morning. The video is part three of Nintendo’s “Untold Chronicles From 100 Years Past” series that details new features of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. The short clip packs a lot of new details in a pretty package, so let’s get down to it!

Immediately we see more battle gameplay of Link; he’s featured wielding different weapons and sporting new armor as well. We see him in the Hylian tunic, and we also see him battle in the Sheikah armor as well. We get a glimpse at  some familiar faces too. Koroks are returning, and a bunch of them! With Koroks returning, we also see the return of our old friend Hestu! It is still unknown how the Koroks and Hestu will work as part of the game, but I begin to wonder if they will work much like they did in Breath of the Wild for weapon inventory expansions.

The next bit features character gameplay using the different Runes — Mipha using Cryonis, Revali using Stasis, Zelda using Remote Bombs, and Impa using Magnesis. It’s exciting to see the characters using the Rune skills; hopefully we see more of how the runes work in the future! And finally the video wraps up with an awesome clip of Link, Impa, Revali, Daruk, and I can only imagine the other characters we know about leaping off of a Sheikah Tower via Paraglider and soaring off into the sunset. The clip fades much like the memories in Breath of the Wild, and it makes one wonder where they are heading off to next!
