Last year, Japan was lucky enough to witness its own Zelda Concert series. This three-night symphonic event featured songs and medleys from a variety of Zelda games, with one of the biggest highlights being music from the massively successful Breath of the Wild. This thrilling video, released by Nintendo (on the eve of a CD release for the concert), highlights both the beautiful sights and sounds that Breath of the Wild contributed to the concert.
In the video, the full orchestra and choir performs music from both the main game and The Champions’ Ballad, including Breath of the Wild‘s “Main Theme”, “Riding (Night)”, “The Korok Forest”, “Mipha’s Theme”, “Revali’s Theme”, “Dark Beast Ganon,” and now iconic “Nintendo Switch Trailer” music. It’s impressive to see the diversity and range of sounds within the game’s soundtrack, which are given increased emphasis through the stirring arrangement and precise ordering of the songs. In addition to the thrilling music, the video also include footage from Breath of the Wild, showing off the beautiful locations and amazing character designs that make the game so beloved by fans and critics alike.
Let’s hope that Nintendo has worldwide plans for its future Zelda concert series so that more people can experience the magic in person!
