As many of you likely know, Nintendo held their Wii U Preview press conference this morning, and unveiled loads of new info on the Wii U. Most importantly, we now know the release date and price for Nintendo’s newest console and, on a more Zelda note, the game-within-a-game Battle Quest. Make the jump for details!

Our sister site GenGAME has been keeping constant tabs on the new info as Nintendo has released it. Thanks to them we can tell you that the Wii U will release in North America on November 18th. Our friends in Europe and Australia can expect to receive the console a bit later, on November 30th.

GenGAME reports that Nintendo will be releasing two Wii U bundles. The Basic Set will include regular system necessities including an HDMI cable, and a white 8GB console. Also available, and a bit more enticing for us Zelda fans, is the Deluxe Set. This includes everything in the Basic Set, but with a black 32GB console instead as well as a charge stand for the Wii U GamePad and a copy of Nintendo Land, which includes the Zelda-based game Battle Quest!

As far as price is concerned, GenGAME says that in North America, the Basic Set will be $299.99 and the Deluxe Set will be $349.99. The prices for Europe were not detailed by Nintendo, but online retailer ShopTo has cited £279.85 for the Deluxe Set.

There is much more new information available about the Wii U now, and you can check it out for yourself over at GenGAME! Here at Zelda Dungeon, we will be keeping an eye out for more Battle Quest news to bring to you as soon as possible.

So what are your thoughts on the Wii U? Has the new information about the price and date changed any of your plans to get it? How about those bundles? Will you be getting the Basic Set, or shoot for the extra $50 and get Nintendo Land with the Premium Set so you can play Battle Quest? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
