Nintendo Registers Trademark for Twilight Princess
Posted on November 09 2018 by Kristen G. Rosario
Just recently Nintendo has registered trademarks for both Twilight Princess, and Wii Sports Resort. This should come as no surprise as most companies do this in order to keep their intellectual properties from the hands of other companies. According to the game news site Japanese Nintendo, this trademark is for a variety of items including “program for home video game machine”, “downloadable video game program” and “program for smartphone”.
The “smartphone” part shouldn’t be all that shocking since there has always been rumors and murmurs about the possibility of a Zelda mobile game. Some have speculated that Zelda fans can expect something in the vein of Fire Emblem Heroes. Meanwhile, others have speculated that these new trademarks are related to the Twilight Princess port on the Nvidia Shield in China. Nobody knows for sure, however. Here’s hoping that we at least get Twilight Princess HD on the Switch sometime soon though.
What do you think of this news? Does this registered trademark mean anything aside from the obvious? Let us know in the comments below!
