One of Nintendo’s biggest investments for the next few years will be the debut of the own theme park attractions in two Universal Studios locations. Known as “Nintendo World,” these Nintendo-themed areas are currently being planned for both Universal Studios Japan and Universal Studios Florida. While not many specifics have reached the public, the concept art alone for these attractions looks promising for any fan of the Big N to say the least.

Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa gave an update about “Nintendo World” before the company’s recent investor’s meeting, confirming the Universal Japan version “will be ready” in 2020. This is of course the same year that Tokyo will be hosting the Summer Olympics, so the grand opening for this section of the park will most likely be around the time those games begin.

As for Universal Studios Florida, there’s still no real word on the opening of that Nintendo World. However, rumors and speculation suggest that it’s been delayed to 2023 due to Nintendo’s primary focus on the Japan version getting completed first.
