It has been almost a year since the reveal trailer for Zelda U. During the end of last year, actual gameplay footage was shown last-minute to further whet our appetites for this highly-anticipated open world experience. It wasn’t long ago that Eiji Aonuma specified that a 2015 release date for Zelda U was no longer the main goal, and that the game will not be shown during E3 2015.

It seems as if Nintendo is reluctant to commit to another release date for Zelda U, as the game’s release date has now been updated from 2015 to “To Be Determined.”

Could this be a sign that Zelda U still might be a 2015 release? Aonuma did not completely rule out a 2015 release, he just specified that it was no longer the main goal. However, some would say that Zelda U will most likely be delayed until next year for the sole purpose of the Zelda franchise’s 30th anniversary.
