Nintendo Direct Announced for February 8th

After much anticipation, this morning Nintendo announced that this year’s first Nintendo Direct will be tomorrow, February 8th, 2023 at 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET. We can expect roughly 40 minutes of game footage focused on “games launching in the first half of 2023.”

A Nintendo Direct in and of itself is always an exciting announcement, although typically we never know for sure what to look forward to out of it. This Direct could be different! We know that when Tears of the Kingdom won Most Anticipated Game at The Game Awards, Nintendo announced that we could look forward to more details before the game’s release. Connecting the dots a bit, that probably means tomorrow’s Direct will give us some information on Tears of the Kingdom, as it will likely be the last chance to do so before the game releases. They could dedicate a Direct solely to it at a later date, of course; however, it should be noted this has never happened in the past for any Zelda game prior to its release.

Tune in at 2 p.m. PST tomorrow, Feb. 8, for a #NintendoDirect livestream featuring roughly 40 minutes of information mostly focused on #NintendoSwitch games launching in the first half of 2023.
