If you’re anything like me and practically live in your sneakers, then you’re going to love these! Nike has unveiled a new Nintendo 64-inspired design for the Air Max 97. They look pretty snazzy with a very familiar color palette of grey, red, yellow, green and blue. If you have ever held an N64 controller in your hands, the inspiration for this fancy footwear is obvious.

The words power and reset are sewn onto the tongues of the sneakers,an ode to buttons on the console itself. Nike can’t make a direct link between the two, but it is without a doubt a very respectful nod in that direction. This isn’t the first time Nike has unveiled a Nintendo-inspired theme. In the past, it has designed a sneaker based upon the 8-bit console, the NES.

If you’re a fan of this style of shoe (based upon the Japanese bullet train) and a 90’s kid, these sneakers might be up your street. They look gorgeous, but be prepared to shell out $160 USD to make them all yours!

So, do you like the design of these sneakers? Would you be tempted to buy them? Let us know in the comments below!
