With the upcoming release of Twilight Princess HD drawing closer and closer, there’s no doubt that there will be a slow but steady influx of news releasing for the title between now and March. Yesterday, we were treated to two small tidbits based on the latest scans from the Famitsu magazine. These gave us new information such as an increased rupee limit and changes to the tears of light quest. Today however we’ve got something a bit more substantial to talk about in regards to brand new content and amiibo.

Amazon France appears to have somewhat accidentally unveiled some brand new information for Twilight Princess HD – the most significant amount of new information we’ve gotten yet. According to the update on their page, amiibo can replenish hearts and arrows. The Wolf Link amiibo however has a special effect the other amiibo don’t. Scanning it unlocks a brand new dungeon called “The Twilight Cave”. As always, note that some info saved to the Wolf Link amiibo will transfer to Zelda U. In addition, the inventory will work natively on the GamePad similar to the way it worked in The Wind Waker HD. Hero Mode is included as well and available right at the start.

We can likely presume that other consumables will be replenished with amiibo and that information from this new dungeon is what transfers to Zelda U, but that’s pure speculation. I would also assume The Twilight Cave is in the Twilight Realm, but again… we’re just making guesses. It should be noted that Nintendo has taken down this information on the page shortly after posting it. While information from Amazon like this is generally reliable as these pages are updated by Nintendo employees, we cannot possibly confirm beyond a doubt that this information is completely legit. The good news is we won’t have to wait long to find out as the game comes out in less than two months and this news would likely be unveiled before then in a more official manner.

As always, stay tuned right here on Zelda Informer for all your Twilight Princess HD related news and be sure to check us out upon release to make use of our Twilight Princess HD Walkthrough.
