December of 2012 was a sad time for Nintendo fans as our favorite magazine, “Nintendo Power”, closed the pages on its final issue. Lucky for us, a small group of fans, artists, writers, and editors got together and continued the legacy by releasing a new magazine heavily influenced by “Nintendo Power”, aptly named “Nintendo Force”. Unfortunately, the news of their existence wasn’t as widespread as some of us would have hoped, missing the eyes and ears of a number of Nintendo fans, including myself. Well, the team has returned to Kickstarter for another year of content that is supported by the fans instead of the market. If you want to subscribe to the magazine, all you need to do is head on over to the Kickstarter page and back them. They have a number of contribution levels that will net you more cool stuff with your subscription, but a donation of any amount helps the cause. The team has already almost reached their goal, but that doesn’t stop them from taking more subscribers as they are looking to expand to new devices such as Android, Nook, and other Windows platforms.

Of course, we will always strive to remain your number one source for the latest on the Zelda series, but we also love supporting others who are passionate about the Nintendo community and offer a magazine worthy of the Nintendo title. So what do you think of “Nintendo Force Magazine”? Are you planning on subscribing? Do you miss “Nintendo Power” as much as I do? Leave your comments below.
