A lot of folks over in the UK have been wondering why Nintendo’s Zelda symphony tour didn’t make more rounds in their country, and while this won’t solve that complaint wholly, they are at least getting a surprise showing that is unique to just them. It will be a symphony and chorus combo that is going to rock your ears off. The concert will feature music from five Zelda titles, which have been revised by renowned video game arrangers Jonne Valtonen and Roger Wanamo.

Internationally famous London Symphony Orchestra and London Symphony Chorus join forces to present thrilling new video game music concert on July 13th, 2014

December 12th, 2013 – Fans of Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda series are set for a musical treat like no other as Symphonic Legends London, a concert dedicated to music from the much loved role-playing adventure series, will take place at London’s Barbican on July 13th, 2014.

Featuring music performed courtesy of Nintendo, Symphonic Legends London takes concertgoers on an unforgettable journey through some of The Legend of Zelda’s best-loved themes. With new and revised scores by renowned video game arrangers, Jonne Valtonen and Roger Wanamo, Symphonic Legends London squeezes every last musical drop of action, adventure, romance, heartbreak and heroics from soundtracks to games such as The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. The concert also features the world premiere of a brand new Overture of music from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, sending listeners’ imagination soaring to the skies and beyond.

Adding to the excitement, Symphonic Legends London boasts an unprecedented ensemble of musicians and singers on stage for a video game concert. Joining the world famous London Symphony Orchestra – returning to the world of video games following the success of the sell-out, Final Symphony concert in May 2013 – will be the majestic London Symphony Chorus. Encompassing well over 200 musicians and choristers, Symphonic Legends London brings the power and majesty of The Legend of Zelda series to musical life in emphatic style.

Symphonic Legends London is being developed by the award winning Merregnon Studios, the world’s leading video game concert production company. With over 10 years of experience in the genre, Merregnon Studios helped debut the first ever orchestral performance of music from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker in Germany in 2003, as well as being the first company ever to work with the prestigious London Symphony Orchestra on a video game concert.

“We’re so excited to be working with the London Symphony Orchestra on a video game concert again,” said Thomas Böcker, Producer of Symphonic Legends London. “Performing together with the London Symphony Chorus, it will be an unforgettable night for everybody, whether you’re a keen The Legend of Zelda fan or simply a lover of amazing music.”

“Working on our first video game concert earlier this year was a fantastically exciting experience,” added, Gareth Davies, Principle Flautist with the LSO. “The fans who attended the Final Symphony concert were one of the most attentive audiences I’ve ever played for and it is a delight to be playing Jonne Valtonen and Roger Wanamo’s superb arrangements again.”

Tickets for the July 13th concert will be on sale starting tomorrow 10 AM and range in price from £30 to £85. To book tickets please visit the official concert site:

It’s a bit unfair for me to wish this was in the United States considering how many Zelda shows we’ve had the last two plus years, but my music senses are still tingling.

Furthermore, this symphonic series of concerts has historically recorded and sold their concerts, so those of you who are still glum that we don’t have a Symphony of the Goddesses CD can cross your fingers that now is finally your chance to keep some gorgeously orchestrated Zelda music at home
