New World Record Set For Majora’s Mask Speedrun
Posted on September 20 2017 by Taven Jay
A new world record was set yesterday in the Zelda Speedrunning scene, as Ennopp112 beat The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask in record time. Using a new glitch that was found in Ocarina of Time called Item Duping, Ennopp was able to shave some time off the previous record (see the glitch in action right here; it’s really cool!) The glitch in Majora’s Mask is used for the Zora Eggs which saves about 5 minutes off in the Any% speedrun. Ennopp was able to complete Majoras Mask in 1:20:15, beating the previous record (held by himself) by 1 minute, 45 seconds.
The Zelda Speedrunning Community is constantly innovating and improving, finding new, ridiculous ways to beat our favorite Zelda games quick. So while this may seem like an already amazing time to have defeated Skull Kid, count on that record being improved upon in future runs.
How long do you guys think this world record will stand? Let us know in the comments below, and for all things speedrunning, keep it locked on Zelda Informer.
