The producer of Hyrule Warriors has recently revealed that even more characters will be joining the cast of the upcoming 3DS title. According to Yosuke Hayashi, not only will Tetra, Toon Link, and the King of Hyrule be playable characters in the game, but several other characters that will be announced at a later date. Tetra, Toon Link, and the King of Hyrule can also be unlocked in the original game by transferring them over to your Wii U game via a serial code on the box of Hyrule Warriors Legends. If you’re a fan of the original game but aren’t planning on getting the 3DS version, you can still play these new characters if you have a friend who’s kind enough to share their serial code with you.
Like we said before, Mr. Hayashi mentioned that Hyrule Warriors Legends will have amiibo compatibility, so you can use all of your favorite amiibo to unlock bonus content, similar to the original game. In fact, almost all of the content that was in Hyrule Warriors will be in the 3DS version of the game. Unfortunately, Challenge Mode had to be cut due to the small screen size of the 3DS. Additionally, Mr. Hayashi wasn’t able to reveal any hints about what the bonus content may be at this time, but he did note that development of the game is almost complete; all that’s left to do is some final polishing.
I thought I couldn’t be more excited about this game than I already was, but this announcement proved me wrong. I am so thrilled about the game, and the speculation as to who the new characters will be is getting me more pumped than I thought I could be. Once again, Mr. Hayashi couldn’t give us any hints about who the new characters might be, but I have some personal favorites that I’d like to see. I’m hoping for Ravio from A Link Between Worlds more than anyone at this point. What characters would you like to see? Let us know in the comments below!
