Nintendo has released a new trailer for the highly anticipated Tears of the Kingdom. This two-minute trailer is packed with reveals and hints about a game that has been a closely guarded secret for much of its development. The trailer shows footage of some new enemies, including a new flying enemy, some mysterious masked enemies, and an enemy constructed from a collection of cubes. The trailer also reveals what appears to be new variations of Breath of the Wild enemies like Bokoblins and Moblins. One of the most significant reveals of the trailer is what appears to be the voice of the main villain, presumably Ganondorf, who is heard commanding their forces to lay ruin to the Kingdom of Hyrule.
In a press release, Nintendo also provided a new synopsis for the upcoming game:
“The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom: An epic adventure across the land and skies of Hyrule awaits. In this sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, you’ll decide your own path through the sprawling landscapes of Hyrule and the mysterious islands floating in the vast skies above. Can you harness the power of Link’s new abilities to fight back against the malevolent forces that threaten the kingdom?”
The Standard Edition of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available for pre-order today, for a suggested retail price of $69.99 USD. A Collector’s Edition has also been announced.
