After being out for more than three years, the Nintendo Switch has quickly become a fan favorite. And the Switch’s ever-growing popularity shows us that the system is not going anywhere any time soon.

On November 30th, Nintendo released a new system update for the Switch with some major new features. Most notably, the newest update allows for Switch users to wirelessly transfer photos and videos from the Switch to their smartphones. Once a photo or video is taken, a user is given the option to send it to their smartphone immediately by scanning a QR code.

There are some new UI updates too, like the introduction of the Trending page. On the Trending page, users are now able to see what games are most popular among their friends, and see a list of the games that they and their friends both play. The HOME Menu has also been decorated with Nintendo Switch Online services, making them even easier to access.

This new update introduces many other features, including Cloud updates, USB connection features, and even new user icons. All of the details can be read here on Nintendo’s website.
