The upcoming Nintendo Switch Lite has one thing that many fans have been wanting, a much better d-pad. The one we got on the vanilla Switch console is nice, but it’s less of a directional pad and more like the C-buttons on a Nintendo 64 controller. Luckily, you do not necessarily have to pay an arm and a leg and wait for the Switch Lite to arrive on September 20th in order to experience a more traditional gamepad.

Three Nintendo Switch D-pad Joy-Con controllers are currently on sale on Amazon, ranging from $15 to $20 USD. These officially-licensed HORI brand Joy-Cons, which were originally released last year, come in three different distinct themes: a Super Mario theme ($14.99 USD), a Pikachu theme ($14.99 USD too), and a Zelda-themed Joy-Con as well ($19.99 USD).

The biggest downside for these Joy-Cons is that they’re Handheld Mode only and have no wireless capabilities. Much like the Switch Lite, these controllers are akin to what the upcoming portable only model can do. As of this writing, these new Joy-Cons are still in stock.
