New Nintendo Switch Ad Featuring Breath of the Wild Showcases Fatherly Gaming Skills

As part of their advertising push, Nintendo have released a brand new advert aimed at families, featuring footage from Breath of the Wild. The 30-second clip introduces a young couple with a baby as the mother leaves for a meeting. The father proceeds to showcase some Breath of the Wild footage, from riding on horseback to fighting a Lynel. During this session, he’s making sure to keep quiet as the baby slowly falls asleep. As the mother returns, he suggests the renaming of their child to “Zelda”, although the mother looks skeptical.

It’s these sort of short, comical bursts that give Nintendo their characteristically fun adverts that prove so popular with the public, and that doesn’t seem to be stopping any time soon. Personally I wouldn’t mind changing my name to “Revali”, although at 19 it’s probably a little late for that.
