Nintendo DirectAs I’m sure many of you are aware, Nintendo of America has recently announced on Twitter that a new Nintendo Direct, the company’s series of videos outlining what is coming in the future from them in the way of games and hardware, will be streaming tomorrow, August 7, at 7:00am Pacific Time.  Similar to just about every instance in which Nintendo has announced a new Nintendo Direct, they haven’t given people much time to mentally prepare for what is to come.  Despite this, I’m sure most of us are excited to discover any new tidbits of information that the company has to offer.

As stated above, Nintendo has announced this news publicly on its different accounts for different regions.  Here is the official post from Nintendo of America:

Nintendo Direct 8/7 tweet

The important piece to note about this tweet is that this Nintendo Direct will focus on Wii U and 3DS games “launching this year.”  Unfortunately, Nintendo is unlikely to announce new games, so we will not be seeing any information on that new Zelda Wii U title, which is said to be moving “concretely” through production.  In fact, it would be in Nintendo’s best interest to promote The Wind Waker HD as well as A Link Between Worlds, given that these titles will both be arriving this year; it would be silly to promote a game arriving in the future which might detract from sales of the company’s newest releases.

On a brighter note, seeing as how two Zelda games are releasing at the end of this year, we can surely expect some, if not much, information to be given about the upcoming games on both 3DS and Wii U!  Hopefully, we will be given more concrete details on the new gameplay of A Link Between Worlds and how its overworld differs from that of A Link to the Past.

Personally, I’m rather excited, and cannot wait to find out what new information Nintendo has to give.  How about you?  What do you think the Nintendo Direct will announce?  Let us know your predictions below!
