At the start of this weekly feature, I said one thing I loved about the community comics was ability to give more depth to some of the characters and fill in some of the gaps that are skimmed over by the game. And of course, what happens is everyone’s own opinion, but I think we all have some idea, and sometimes those ideas can be universal.

This week, with Magical Game Time, we take a glimpse at perhaps what some of Zelda and Ganon’s conversations might be like while Link’s out adventuring, saving the land, and rescuing Zelda. Hit the jump to read!

I love the way Zac Gorman portrays Link. Though Nintendo has continually just skimmed the surface of an identity what kind of character Link is, Magical Game Time takes the development a step further. Still, Link could fit any player’s (or in this case, reader’s) shoes, but the little bit of added optimism and drive to be good and adventurous is displayed perfectly through his comics.

I don’t want Nintendo to create some kind of concrete character called “Link” in the future Zelda games. I like being able to put myself in the Hero’s Clothes and go on an adventure myself. I’ve even found myself saying more of “I have to defeat these enemies,” rather than saying, “the character is strong enough to defeat these enemies.” But I hope that Nintendo can give the future Link’s a little more than neutral emotions.

And maybe, someday, Ganon will finally learn his lesson. (Probably not.)
