The potential of a 3DS remake for Majora’s Mask has been discussed for nigh on two years ever since Nintendo decided to treat fans with Ocarina of Time 3D. Fans of the title have been waiting and hoping that Nintendo reveals its plans to create the remake yet were utterly disappointed when the gaming giant decided to develop a sequel for A Link to the Past instead which will release this November.

IGN recently had the opportunity to chat with Nintendo’s legendary developer, Shigeru Miyamoto, and asked the question about whatever happened to the idea of Majora’s Mask 3D. His answer may surprise you so hit the jump if you’d like to find out!

Here’s what Miyamoto had to say about Majora’s Mask fans seeking a remake:

“Well, they’re still in my memory.”

Could this be the indication of an incoming remake in the near future? I’d certainly like to think so especially for those, like myself, who’ve never had the opportunity to play this dark-themed Zelda title. As long as enough support is vocalized to Nintendo, it would seem to be nearly impossible for the company not to update Majora’s Mask as plenty of movements for the remake have become quite widespread over the past year.

Would you like Nintendo to develop a Majora’s Mask remake? Would you want it for Wii U or 3DS? Do you think Miyamoto is hinting at the game coming in the near future? Please write us your comments below!
