Good news for those of you looking forward to Nintendo Land on the Wii U, the Metroid attraction has finally been revealed and it’s called Metroid Blast. Additional details include players riding a train around the theme park and spending coins earned from attractions at the hub.
Metroid Blaster has everyone play in Samus’s armor with one player using Samus’s ship with the Gamepad while 4 players aim to destroy the ship, but with no radar. There will be a lava-filled Nofair map featuring a Mechanical Kraid that players can grapple. The game does require the MotionPlus Wiimote to play.
Another mode in Metroid Blaster has players collecting tokens and there is a co-op mode where players must fight robotic Metroids. In addition to Metroid Blast, Balloon Fight Trip Breeze is included, featuring side-scrolling levels that players must fly through while dodging electric spike, birds, and fish while using the GamePad to guide your Mii.
In Balloon Fight, the GamePad will show a close up view of the game while the TV shows the entire field. Wind storms will affect your character, knocking him around, and you can also deliver packages in the game.
Winning in games of pachinko will populate the theme park with Nintendo memorabilia, including Miis dressed up in Zelda outfits. No details were given as to whether or not Nintendo Land is a stand alone title or bundled with the Wii U.
