Time truly does just fly sometimes. We are almost a quarter of the way into 2023 already; can you believe it? Spring is coming, and with it the wooden chimes and yahaha’s of the season. I’m of course referring to the art project “March of the Koroks” by the Zelda Creators community. The project is an attempt to create a collage of 900 Koroks all by different artists. The endeavor was originally held last year around this time, and, after collecting up 463 of the little buggers, they are at it again.

Originally conceived by community moderator TC (LordSooga on Twitter), the idea was formed as a way to celebrate Twitter Korok Day, an occurrence that happens on the 9th of each month. Last year’s canvas was an incredible effort from the community, featuring 231 artists and taking over 12 hours of work just to put all the Koroks on the same page together. This year, the community is hoping to go even bigger and are looking for all artists’ help to accomplish that. For a couple more days, you can still join in on the fun through the project’s submission form right here.

Thankfully, while sign-ups end on February 14th, you do not need to have your Korok drawn by then. In fact, you should not start drawing until February 15th when project details will be confirmed for participants. Skill levels and mediums of all kinds are accepted; so if you feel like making a jovial little forest friend, don’t hesitate to join in! The only requirement is to join the Zelda Creators Discord for the duration of the project and complete your Koroks by March 15th. I probably will be signing up myself!

For those just excited to see the collage, the timeline for the project anticipates it being released March 31st, so stay tuned!

You can find more information on the project as well as other Zelda fan projects through the Zelda Creators Discord server here as well as their Twitter here!
