Majora’s Memes – You Shouldn’t Have Done That

Welcome to Majora’s Memes where we bring you memetic madness weekly!

Like scouring Hyrule Field for bushes that hopefully contain Rupees or bombs or arrows, we search the Internet for Zelda-related laughs. Before we get rolling, I apologize that there was no feature last week. Our WordPress server went down just before I was going to write the article, and I couldn’t stay up to wait since my job starts at the crack of dawn. So here’s what was supposed to be posted last week! On a related note, after this post, I will be taking a three week sabbatical from Zelda Dungeon, which means three weeks of no Majora’s Memes. After that though, it’ll be back in full force! Hit the jump for what you came for!

Our first meme this week is another recent memetic mutation stemming from the recently announced Super Smash Bros. for 3DS/Wii U. Playing off of the backgrounds and text accompanying new character announcements, it’s become a meme to announce fan-wish characters, sometimes plausible, but more likely absurd. This is one of the sillier, and creepier, ones I’ve seen. The original image was created by Elemental-Aura of deviantART.

Great, now I can’t unsee this. This one as well as the others following it were found on KnowYourMeme.

A similar image using the same basic meme has been posted, but I don’t feel like it gets old. Reminds me of the time my roommates and I put something like it on our door with Pokémon you could tear off.

I feel like dungeons would be less intimidating if this played every time a Wallmaster came out.

And our final meme, an old favorite. I see images using the first part of this joke all the time, but it’s nice to see it extended.
