One of the new features for Majora’s Mask 3D revealed during yesterday’s Nintendo Direct was the new camera controls available to anyone playing the game with a New Nintendo 3DS. Since we only received an explanation of how it worked, we assumed that only owners of the brand new console would be able to do this, but it seems that isn’t quite the case. Unlike Super Smash Bros. for 3DS, Majora’s Mask 3D is actually compatible with the Circle Pad Pro!

At the very beginning of the game, after creating your save file and entering your name, the game promptly tells you that it supports the Circle Pad Pro. If you’re using one, it asks you to press the Zr button on it to activate it. If you’re not, you can just click the “Don’t Use” button below and get started with your game right away. Through the above image we also get a look at the small loading icon in the bottom right corner, which seems to be the silhouette of Skull Kid. Pretty neat.

This is definitely a relief to a lot of people who don’t currently have the funds for a new handheld but would love to take advantage of this new feature. What do you guys think? Are you glad the game will let you use a Circle Pad Pro? Do you wish the new camera controls stayed as an exclusive feature for New Nintendo 3DS owners? Let us know in the comments below!
