“Mabe Village” Gets Re-Imagined with this Piano Arrangement

One of the most enduring aspects of Link’s Awakening‘s legacy is undoubtedly its music. Equal parts familiar and eccentric, it’s definitely unique among other soundtracks of the franchise. It’s also ripe for incredibly talented individuals like Robin Appelqvist to examine and put their own creative twist on its well-known pieces. Channeling the legendary Studio Ghibli composer Joe Hisaishi, Robin has taken “Mabe Village” and re-imagined it as a poignant, piano-laden arrangement. It’s incredibly calming, and I’d urge anyone that enjoys the soundtrack to Link’s Awakening to give it a listen.
