get3_zps08478581In just a few days Zelda Dungeon will release an exclusive interview with Eiji Aonuma, the beloved director of the Zelda series, that covers both some details about the upcoming Zelda Wii U game and Hyrule Warriors. For now, we have just a little bit of information that was released by GenGAME about some content decisions that were made for Hyrule Warriors.

Hit the jump to check that out!

As with every game, some of the original ideas are scrapped and new ones take their places as ultimately the team tries to create the best experience they can. Hyrule Warriors was no exception. From a recent GenGAME article:

“The development team originally considered adding a traditional Zelda-style dungeon, complete with puzzles.”

However somewhere along the line it was decided that this detracted from the action-focused experience that is derived from the Dynasty Warriors series. Additionally, this would reserve the puzzle solving aspects for the ‘core’ Zelda games, such as the 2015 title for Wii U.

For the full explanation of this detail, check out the original GenGAME article here.

What do you think? Does this make sense for Hyrule Warriors? Let us know in the comments!

And of course, be sure to stay tuned to Zelda Dungeon for that exclusive interview with Aonuma coming later this week! There’ll be a lot of details, clarifications, and perhaps revealing information in just a few days.
