Live Zelda Dungeon Video Podcast

Earlier today over at the Zelda Dungeon Forums, I posted a live video podcast. A podcast is something that I’ve had in mind for a few months now, and a video podcast in particular is something that I’ve seen elsewhere online, and thought that I could put something similar together like it for Zelda Dungeon. The podcast was streamed live into the Zelda Dungeon Forums and it led to the most activity the forum had seen at a given time in the forums history. There were over 20 registered users talking simultaneously within the shoutbox, while the Podcast was streaming. Additionally there were numerous guests online for the event.
The podcast followed a format that had me talk about recent site news, Zelda news, community forum announcements, and a question and answer section. The podcast was recorded, but the end result did not come out as I originally imagined it would. The actual podcast went pretty well, other than a few lag issues, but the recording did not work properly. It was chopped into segments, with pieces of the podcast missing, and thus, is not available for download as originally expected.
So in hindsight, the video podcast that aired tonight will go down as being just a beta version of the podcast. I will take a lot of what I learned from the podcast, reactions from the fans, problems that did come up during the podcast, and all in all, hopefully make the next one much better.
