Skyward Sword has one of the best soundtracks in the entire Zelda series. Since it was the first Zelda game with an orchestrated score, the game included some of the richest arrangements of classic songs like “Zelda’s Lullaby”. In addition to classics from previous games, the soundtrack also includes amazing new compositions like “Fi’s Theme” and “Ballad of the Goddess”. The combination of these new stand-outs and old favorites creates one of the most well-rounded soundtracks in franchise history.

This Lofi medley by Tune in with Chewie and Joni Fuller, recently published by OverClocked ReMix, includes three Skyward Sword songs: “Fi’s Theme”, “Gate of Time”, and “Zelda’s Lullaby”. This mix of songs is interesting because, while “Fi’s Theme” and “Zelda’s Lullaby” are key songs in Skyward Sword, “Gate of Time” is a minor theme. Interestingly, arranger Tune in with Chewie started with “Gate of Time” and proceeded from there. Tune in with Chewie asserted that because “the original [‘Gate of Time’] lacks a strong melody”, it allowed the remixers to add in other melodies from the series.

Overall, this remix does an excellent job of blending the three songs together. For the short but beautiful vocals, “Tune in with Chewie” asserted that he tried to imagine what Fi would sound like if she was “singing rather than talking”. This lofi remix is an extremely relaxing piece that puts the listener at ease. When you a need to relax, take a deep breath and put on this remix!
