Lake Hylia has taken many forms in the Legend of Zelda franchise. While the iconic body of water has changed shape and size over the past decades, Lake Hylia has been a big part of both the 2D and 3D games. While many fans point to Ocarina of Time‘s version as the most popular, Twilight Princess‘ version is impressively distinct. Twilight Princess‘ Lake Hylia is a massive body of water that is full of idyllic vistas, mysterious secrets, and crystal clear water.
This piano arrangement by MusicMike512 perfectly captures the idyllic nature of the Lake Hylia theme from Twilight Princess. The song starts off gently with beautiful piano runs before the steady main melody kicks in. The volume of the song grows and shrinks as the song progresses, giving the piece a sense of smooth progression and seamless movement like the ebb and flow of a gentle river.
One of the best things about this video is that footage of Twilight Princess occupies the top left hand corner of the screen throughout the song’s length. The beautiful scenery from the video adds to the overall feeling of peace and calm that permeates the video. Overall, this video is a reminder that the peaceful music of Lake Hylia is a comfort for Link on his dangerous adventure.
