Skyward Sword has one of the most underrated soundtracks in the Zelda series. The game’s soundtrack has a wealth of great music, including “Fi’s Theme”, which stands out as one of the best songs in the soundtrack. While the robotic sword spirit wasn’t well received from a gameplay perspective, her story has some wonderfully emotional moments. Fi’s final goodbye, augmented with a moving version “Fi’s Theme” that plays over the cutscene, is one of the most emotional moments in the series.

This wonderful violin and guitar rendition of “Fi’s Farewell”by Furyxx Violin beautifully captures the pathos inherent in the original song. While the original was a piano-based song, the guitar and violin are well suited for this arrangement. The violin, which can produce some of the most beautiful sounds of any instrument, is a perfect choice for the melody. Much like the piano, the violin is an extremely versatile instrument and can evoke a variety of tones and moods. Finally, the acoustic guitar adds an extra layer to the arrangement, giving it a richer sound.

Overall, I think the progression and structure of the entire arrangement is spot on. The song opens with the lonely sound of the violin, similar to how the original tune opens with the solitary notes of a piano. The song progresses from that lone instrument, adding an acoustic guitar shortly after the first notes of the violin. The entire sound builds until it crescendos into a beautiful climax. The song ends with the gentle notes of the acoustic guitar fading into nothingness and the violin beautifully lingers on one final note.
