Listen To This Melodic Synthwave Arrangement of the Temple of Time Theme

The Temple of Time plays a critical role in the Legend of Zelda series. The hallowed place first appeared in Ocarina of Time as a massive church-like structure located close to Hyrule Castle Town and was a massive spiritual center for the people of Hyrule. In different games, the Temple of Time has appeared as a sanctuary, a dungeon, and a ruin.
For its first appearance in Ocarina of Time, Koji Kondo crafted a song that is full of mystery. The smooth, slow-moving song utilizes choral elements that create a reverent atmosphere. Whenever the player steps into The Temple of Time, Koji Kondo’s theme illustrates the importance and gravitas of the location.
This synthwave remix of the Temple of Time theme is a change of pace from its original rendition. The song opens with slow-moving notes which are instantly recognizable. As the song progresses, the tempo increases, resulting in an energetic remix. This version of the song sounds perfect for a “dungeon” version of the Temple of Time. It is easy to imagine this version of “Temple of Time” in a Shrine-like area from Breath of the Wild. Overall, the song has a great energy and atmosphere that keeps the audience hooked.
