Listen To This Incredible Piano, Trumpet, and Beatbox Cover of “Gerudo Valley” from Ocarina of Time

It’s Ocarina of Time Week here at Zelda Dungeon, and what themed week would be complete without music? “Gerudo Valley” is not just one of the absolute best songs in Ocarina of Time, but, really, in the entire series. It’s a track that conveys a sense of adventure, excitement, and strange new lands better than almost any other track in the franchise. When you walk into Gerudo Valley and this theme kicks in, you know you are in for an incredible adventure!
This intriguing collaboration by Marcus Veltri includes keyboard, trumpet and beatboxing. This is extremely interesting to me, as keyboard and trumpet are two instruments that I don’t normally associate with beatboxing. However, the combination works very well, with the beatboxing serving as the percussion and an extra layer of sound to build the song on. The melody sounds beautiful on trumpet, and the piano gets its own moments to shine within the song.
