Update: Link’s Awakening and Other Nintendo Toys Available from Burger King in North America

Update: Nintendo has announced that these Nintendo-themed toys are now available at Burger King restaurants in North America. From now until March 15th, participating Burger King locations in the United States, Canada, and parts of Latin America will offer one of six Nintendo toys — including one based on Link’s Awakening — with each King Jr Meal.
Additionally, Burger King will be offering customers in the continental United States a chance to win a Nintendo Switch and a copy of the upcoming Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury. Customers who purchase a “Super Mario Meal” on the BK app between February 8th and February 22nd will be entered in to win this Nintendo Switch Prize Pack. And those who don’t win the prize pack will still receive 100 My Nintendo Platinum Points with their purchase of a Super Mario Meal, while supplies last.
Original: Too bad adult meals don’t come with toys! Burger King kid’s meals in Australia, Austria, and Germany will soon have toys inspired by popular Nintendo Switch games. Some of the toys featured are from Link’s Awakening, Splatoon, and Animal Crossing.
It’s not clear from Burger King’s promotional images what all of the toys do, but the Animal Crossing one looks like a mini-maze for sure. I imagine that the Mario Kart toy is some kind of launching toy, but that’s just my personal speculation.
These fun kid’s meal toys will be a blast for kids in those aforementioned markets, and maybe someday soon we’ll see Nintendo toys for kid’s meals come out in our neck of the woods.
What do you think of the new kid’s toys? What kind of Nintendo toy would you like to find in your child’s kid’s meal? Sound off in the comments below.
